The course was set up in the AFF States and basa on a modern methodology of teaching. The student, after being trained with theoretical concepts, is put at a try a free fall from 4,000 meters, led in flight by two instructors who will follow until opened its parachute, from that moment another instructor the follow up from the earth by radio to enable a rapid learning techniques of navigation and landing. The course A.F.F. provides seven levels of difficulty that will decrease the work of instructors and increase the capacity dell'allievo up self and the full mastery of the wing. The cost of the course is 1,600 €, which must be added the cost of medical, insurance personnel and clearance of the police.

For both courses
is necessary to undergo a medical and sports visit by a doctor recognized by
Italian Federation of Sports Physicians. The visit is valid for two years for paratroopers under the age of 40 years,
for paratroopers who have passed that age the medical examination is valid for one year.
